Description
Design of the 1 KG Asahi Silver Bar
Asahi 1 kilogram silver bars have a fairly minimalistic design. These bars feature two circles, with the word Asahi between them on the top, and the letters SLC between them at the bottom. In the center of the circle is the bar's purity of 999. SLC stands for Salt Lake City in Utah, which is where the Asahi silver refineries are located. Just below the circle is the bar's weight of 1 kilogram. At the bottom of the bar is its serial number.
These bars are casted or extruded, which means that liquid silver is poured into a mould, and this information on the front of the bar is imprinted into the bar as it cools. This is a different process to minted bars, which are more expensive, but can produce a more detailed image on the bar.
About Asahi Silver Bars
Asahi bars recently entered the precious metals market in 2016. In 2016, Japanese precious metals refinery Asahi purchased an American based refinery called Johnson Matthey. In this purchase they took over Johnson Matthey's main refinery in Utah, and began to produce gold and silver bars in the Asahi name. The design of the casted silver bars has remained the same, but the refinery name was updated.
Asahi release silver bars in 1 Ounce, 10 Ounce, 100 Ounce and 1 Kilogram sizes. These are the most popular sizes. Ounce denominated bars are most popular in the United States and worldwide, while 1 Kilogram sized bars are popular with European investors. Asahi also sell a gold bar in 1 ounce, 10 ounce and 1 kilogram sizes.
Why Buy Asahi Bullion?
One of the most appealing features of the Asahi bullion products is their low premium. Because Asahi produces bullion bars primarily for investment purposes, their products are manufactured with lower cost technologies, that are passed on to the investor. Asahi gold and silver bars sell for a lower premium than some of the other brands in the industry. This makes Asahi bullion an excellent option for investors.
The Asahi 1 Kilogram silver bar is particularly popular with European investors who prefer to purchase silver bullion in Kilo deonominations. These bars can be purchased for secure VAT-free vault storage and worldwide delivery. Payment is accepted in 20 currencies and 8 cryptocurrencies.
