Design of the 1 Kilogram Armenian Noah's Ark Silver Coins
These coins are part of the Noah's Ark series, which was first launched in 2011. This makes 2023 is the 12th year of production of these coins. The front of each coin features an image of Noah's Ark at sea, with Mount Ararat in the distance, and the sun rising in the background. A dove carrying a branch can be seen towards the bottom of the coin. Around the coin, the words 'Noah's Ark' are written in English and Armenian.
The reverse side of the coin features the official Armenian coat of arms. The center features a shield, with both a Lion and and Eagle holding it up, both looking away from the center of the coin. The words 'Republic of Armenian' are written around the outside of the coin in English and Armenian. Next to the coat of arms, the coin's weight of 1 Kilogram, and purity of 999 can be found. Finally, at the bottom of hte coin are its year of minting, 2023, and its face value. Each 1 Kilogram silver coin has a face value of 10000 Dram.
The Noah's Ark Series
First launched in 2011, the Noah's Ark series has grown in popularity, particularly in Europe. Manufactured in Germany on behalf of the government of Armenia, these coins are available in silver and gold. Silver coins are available in sizes that include 1 ounce, 10 ounces, and 1kilogram coins. Gold coins are also available in a number of sizes, including 1 ounce, 1/2 ounce, 1/4 ounce and 1 gram sized coins.
This series is not available in platinum or palladium.
