Design of the 10 Ounce Perth Mint Silver Bar
The 10 ounce Perth Mint silver bar is made using an extrusion, or casting process. This process involves pouring liquid silver into a mould, and then pressing the information about the bar onto its surface as the silver cools. This process gives the bars a more antique look, which is very popular.
The front of each bar features the Perth Mint logo at the top. The logo features a Swan in the centre of a circle, with the words 'The Perth Mint' at the top of the image, and the word 'Australia' at the bottom. The very bottom of the bar features its purity of 999 and its weight of 10 ounces. These bars do not have any information contained in their middle, and they do not come with a serial number. The reverse side of each bar has been left blank.

The Perth Mint in Australia produces a range of bullion bars in gold and silver. Silver casted bars are avaialble in larger sizes, including the 10 ounce, 1 kilogram and 100 ounce sized bars. The smaller, 1 ounce Perth Mint silver bar is minted, not casted, and featues a different design to the cast bars. Perth Mint bars are also available in gold. These minted bars are available in sizes ranging from 1 gram up to 10 ounces, and they come with a serial number and are each sealed in their own certicard.
