Uncirculated, brand new 2022 Australian Kangaroo Gold Bullion Coins issued by the Perth Mint.
2022 Gold Kangaroo Coin Design
Each 2022 Gold Australian Kangaroo 1 Ounce gold coin features a portrait image of Queen Elizabeth II on the front. The words ‘Elizabeth II” and ‘Australia’ are written at the top of the coin around the image of the Queen. The portrait of the Queen depicted was designed by Jody Clark, and it is the official effigy of the Queen to be used on coinage. This effigy of the Queen is also used on all official coinage in Australia. At the bottom of the coin is its face value of $100 Australian Dollars.
The reverse side of the coin features an image of two Australian Red Kangaroos, a mother, and her joey, hopping in the desert. At the top of the coin, the word ‘Kangaroo’ is written. On the left side of the coin is its year of minting, 2022, its size, which is 1 Troy Ounce, and its purity of 9999.
The History of the Gold Kangaroo Coin
The Perth Mint first launched the gold Nugget coin, in 1986 to celebrate the history of Australia’s bullion mining industry.
