Design of the 2022 1/2 Ounce Gold Kangaroo Coin

The front of each coin features an image of Queen Elizabeth II, the current monarch of the UK, looking off to the right and wearing her crown. Around the top of the coin, the words 'Elizabeth II' and 'Australia' are written. At the bottom of the coin is its legal tender value of $50 Australian Dollars. This is the value to which the government of Australia has guaranteed to back the coin. 

The reverse side of each coin features an image of a Red Kangaroo mother with her Joey hopping in the deserts of Australia. The image on the reverse side of these coins is updated annually, and creates additional numismatic value to the coin for investors looking to create a collection. The top of the coin features its year of minting which is 2022, its size of 1/2 ounce and its purity of 9999. The word Kangaroo is also inscribed on the top of the coin.
