Design of the 2022 1/10 Ounce Gold Maple Leaf Coin
The front of the 1/10 Ounce gold maple leaf coin features a portrait image of Queen Elizabeth II. The top of the coin features the words ‘Elizabeth II’, and at the bottom are the coin’s year of minting and face value. Each 1/10 Ounce gold Maple Leaf coin has a face value of $5 CAD, which means that the coins are guaranteed by the government of Canada to that value.
On the reverse of the coin is an image of the iconic Canadian Maple Leaf, which is the national symbol of Canada. At the top of the coin the word ‘CANADA’ is inscribed, with the words ‘1/10 Oz’ and ‘fine gold’ inscribed at the bottom. The coin’s purity of 9999 is also written to the left of the image of the leaf. These coins are 9999 fine which makes them 24 karat investment grade bullion coins, and some of the purest gold coins available on the market.
