The 2023 Silver Somalian Elephant coin is manufactured by the Bavarian State Mint in Germany on behalf of the government of Somalia. First released in 2004, the coin is now in its 19th year of production. The Silver Elephant coin is available in 1 Ounce and 1 Kilogram sizes.
The Somalian Elephant coin is available in both and gold, and it has a large following, particularly in Germany and Austria. However, the coin’s exquisite design along with its beautiful depictions draws investors globally.
Design of the 2023 Silver Somalian Elephant Coin
The Silver Somalian Elephant coin features an image of an Elephant pulling leaves off of a branch with its trunk The sun is blazing down on the Elephant, and a Baobab tree can be seen in the distance. The coin is part of an 'African Wildlife' series, and features, which is inscribed at the top of the coin. Other coins in the series include the Somalian Leopard coin. At the bottom of the coin are its weight and purity.
The front of each coin features an image of the Somalian coat of arms, with a leopard on each side of a shield. The words 'Somali Republic' are written at the top, with the year of minting, 2022 written on the side. The coin's face value of 100 Shillings is written at the bottom of the coin.
